How to center your taskbar on Windows 10 (as a translator)
What's up folks, having a great day? Let's crank it up a little bit and learn something interesting? Enjoy the ride!
Why would I want to center my Windows taskbar?
It goes without saying that our eyes tend to look at the center of our screens, that's why this text is centralized, so you can read it without having to move your eyes too much. Some people (most of them), they don't move just their eyes, the neck often does that as well, even when looking at the corners of a screen. Try and look at the left upper corner of your monitor and see what I mean.
So, having your taskbar icons centralized can make you move your head less often, and also it gives a better feel to your setup.
How do I do that?
First, we have to have a clear image of what we want accomplish, so let's have a look at my own setup. It is like this:
Pretty neat, huh? Unfortunately, there's no easy configuration that does that as on Windows 11, but we can get around it! Let's see!
We'll make use of a resource called Links, what does it do? To find out, have a look at : answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/a..
Step 1: Right-click on the empty space on the taskbar and select Toolbars > Links. Like this:
Step 2: You will see a small button named Links by the side of your Notification area.
Step 3: Click and hold on the two vertical dashes to the left of it, now drag it to the Start button direction until the taskbar icons are all to the right. Like this:
Step 4: Going all the way to the Start button, you should get something like this:
Step 5: Now, you just need to resize the Links' width until the icons stay centralized.
Step 6: After that, if you want, you may lock your Taskbar, so you don't get to see those little vertical dashes. Just right-click on an empty space and select Lock the taskbar.
That's it! A little bit overwhelming, but the results are worth it. Hasta luego, guys!
